Tivoli, New York

Tivoli is a village in Dutchess County located northwest of Red Hook. It is within the Hudson River Historic District and is a National Historic Landmark. Tivoli village is next to Bard College, a private liberal arts college famous for its summer music festival in Annandale-on-Hudson.

According to the Tivoli website, it is a 1.8 square mile community on the banks of the Hudson River, offering views of the Catskill Mountains. The website says it was established as a port on the Hudson in 1795, the Village was incorporated in 1872 and today is a tight-knit community of 1100 residents who live among natural beauty and rich architectural heritage.

In Tivoli you will find tree-lined streets, cafes and restaurants, art galleries, classic general stores and the Kaatsbaan International Dance Center located within the village boundaries. Memorial Park is one block from the main street and features a playground, basketball court, garden and softball field.
