North Buckhead is a mixed-use, wooded, hilly neighborhood spanning approximately 2 ½ miles within the City of Atlanta. It is just north of the Lenox Square area with proximity to world-class shopping, dining as well as mass transit. According to the North Buckhead Civic Association, the neighborhood has 3,500 owner-occupied residences; 48 percent of which are single-family homes on individual lots. A recent listing, priced just over $1.8 million, has a gate, seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, five fireplaces, two stories, a powder room and is within walking distance of the Nancy Creek Park. Additional amenities include hardwood flooring, nine-foot ceilings, coffered and trey ceilings, a surround-sound system, a gourmet kitchen with a large island and granite counters, and a stunning master suite with a chandelier, sitting area, fireplace and a wet bar.

The remaining 52 percent of the housing units are low- and high-rise condominiums. The association says that new infill subdivisions, and redevelopment of existing home sites, are common. There are around 40 restaurants right within the neighborhood and residents enjoy proximity to two of the city’s finest shopping centers - Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza – and abundant holiday cheer with stunning Lenox Square fireworks displays on the 4th of July and Thanksgiving, holiday teas with Santa at the Ritz-Carlton and the Macy’s Great Tree Lighting, which is also at Lenox Square. Other exciting retailers include Neiman Marcus, Apple, Tiffany & Co., Banana Republic, River Street Sweets, Pink Pastry Parlor, Nordstrom, Michael Kors, Lilly Pulitzer, Juicy Couture and Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta.

The schools serving North Buckhead - which includes over 80 unique street names and over 100 intersections - include Sarah Smith Elementary, Sutton Middle and North Atlanta High. Sarah Smith has two campuses right within the neighborhood.

Area hospitals include Piedmont, Northside, St. Joseph’s and Emory.
