Memorial Park is a quiet enclave of upscale homes built around the park, which includes trails, meadows, benches and play areas at the former site of the Civil War’s Battle of Peachtree Creek, according to the Buckhead Patch. Historic markers can now be found throughout the area. Work on the park began in 1933, during the 200-year anniversary of the founding of Georgia.

The Bitsy Grant Tennis Center is also a public facility and it includes 13 clay courts and 10 hard courts, which are all lighted.
