Marietta Real EstateMarietta is an Atlanta suburb, located just northwest of the I-285 perimeter. Marietta is located in Cobb County and is home to approximately 56,500 residents, making it one of the larger suburbs in the Metro Atlanta area. Settlers first gathered in what is now Marietta around 1824. The city was officially incorporated into Cobb County in 1852.

Local Attractions

Jennie T. Anderson Theatre is one of the many attractions located in Marietta. This is a 606-seat performing arts center that regularly hosts community productions and touring performers.

Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is another local attraction that features American artists and art. For the adventurous, art classes are also regularly offered at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.

Marietta Diner is one of the city's best known local eating establishments. The 24-hour diner serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner with a wide variety of options ranging from Italian to Southern homestyle.

Schools

Marietta City Schools provide public education to the students in Marietta. This is one of the smallest school districts in the Metro Atlanta area. Marietta High School is the only high school in the city. Marietta Middle School is the city’s only middle school. This city is also home to Marietta Sixth Grade Academy. The city has several elementary schools, including Hickory Hills, A.L. Burruss, West Side, Sawyer Road, Marietta Center for Advanced Athletics, Lockheed and Dunleith.

Additionally, there are two colleges located in Marietta, Life University and Southern Polytechnic University. It is estimated that around 20,000 students attend these institutions.
