Lake Katrine, New York

Lake Katrine is a hamlet in Ulster County. The community is set in the western part of the Town of Ulster, located near the small lake it was named after: Lake Katrine. It is north of the City of Kingston.

According to the Town of Ulster website, “the lake was formerly called Auntrens Pond and the area was once called Pine Bush.  It was the site of numerous country cottages, inns and summer resorts.”

The town of Ulster, of which Lake Katrine is a part, is known for being the business center of Ulster County.  The town notes that the area continues to grow and thrive thanks to its excellent location.  The town government is committed to protecting and building the area’s beautiful natural environment and preserving its history and the many historical sites that make up the town for generations to come.
