Elizaville, New York

Elizaville is a hamlet located in the towns of Clermont and Gallatin in Columbia County. It is positioned in the northeast part of Clermont and the west town line of Gallatin.

 Residents enjoy the many outdoor activities the area offers among its beautiful hills and forests.  Lake Taghkanic State Park is nestled next to Lake Taghkanic and has tent and trailer campsites and cabin and cottage camping facilities. It also features two beaches, picnic areas, boating, kayaking, sports playing fields, a rentable pavilion and a new recreation hall. Those who call Elizaville home can often be found there hiking, biking, fishing and enjoying many winter activities including skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling.

 The Harlem Valley Rail Trail also is nearby, with two sections totaling 15 paved miles through Dutchess and Columbia counties.
