Chatham, New York
Chatham is a town located at the north border of Columbia County and is home to many independently-owned, unique retail stores, restaurants and art galleries.
There are many historic sites located in Chatham including the Blinn-Pulver Farmhouse, the Melius-Bentley House and the Peck House. The Riders Mills Historic District is made up of 20 contributing buildings, eight structures and one site. Simons General Store was built in 1873, and the John S. Williams House and Farm, also known as Old Chatham Sheepherding Farm and Inn, is a historic home and farm designated a national historic district.
Chatham is made up of several hamlets, villages and communities: the village of Chatham; Chatham Center; East Chatham; Kinderhook Lake; Malden Bridge; New Concord; North Chatham; Old Chatham; Rayville; Riders; Riders Mills; and Rock City.
