The History and Background of Johns Creek, Georgia- Johns Creek is a part of Fulton County, Georgia. Originally Cherokee territory back in the 19th century, Johns Creek was a trading post until the Trail of Tears forced the Indians to flee further west. Milton County was created and took in Johns Creek in 1958, but later dissolved and that area became known as Fulton Creek.

In 1981, a group of Georgia tech graduates purchased 1,700 acres of land and turned it into Technology Park/Johns Creek, a multipurpose development that now houses several hundred companies and has commercial space of several millions feet.

Local Attractions in Johns Creek

The town of Johns Creek has plenty of great attractions and places to see and visit. Its list of artsy places includes Johns Creek Art Center, a premiere art education center playfully nicknamed Fulton County's "best kept secret", Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, filled with professional from the Atlanta area, and North Atlanta Dance Theatre, a theater that presents dances both classical and contemporary.
