The Falls of Autry Mill is a prestigious, high-end, executive-home community in Alpharetta comprised of 470 homes, generally priced from $800,000 to $1 million-plus. The centerpiece of the North Fulton community is a two-story clubhouse, which was built near a 10-acre lake and has undergone $1.5 million in refurbishments. It has covered seating overlooking the tennis area, a fitness room and meeting space, which is available to rent. The community has a total of ten tennis courts, two swimming pools and a playground. Community activities include dinner clubs, holiday bazaars, a swim team and tennis lessons.

The homes, largely brick and stucco, have varied architectural features like gables, Palladian windows, front porches, keystone lintels, fanlights, two-story foyers and three-car garages. One home, recently offered for sale at $699,000, has a swimming pool, hardwood floors, built-in shelving, arched doorways, crown molding, French doors, a tray master bedroom ceiling and an eat-in kitchen with multiple islands, a breakfast bar and a built-in microwave.

The community is approximately five miles from Ga. 400 and North Point Mall and just a couple of miles from the 46-acre Autry Mill Nature Preserve & Nature Center, which has two miles of walking trails. Autry Mill was a gristmill, which was run by the Autry family from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Foundation stones from the old mill can be seen alongside Sal’s Creek when walking along the River Loop Trail. The land became a nature preserve in 1988 and was deeded to the City of Johns Creek in 2007.

The schools serving the Falls of Autry Mill include Dolvin Elementary, which is a National School of Excellence; Autry Mill Middle; and Chattahoochee High School, which was also named as a National School of Excellence.
