Salt Point, New York, a charming little hamlet in Dutchess County is located 15 miles northeast of Poughkeepsie and is known for its rich farmland and beautiful scenery. Easy access to the Taconic State Parkway provides direct travel to New York City as well as to many of the surrounding towns and communities.

The hamlet is surrounded by other well-known settlements and towns, Clinton Hollow to the north, Pleasant Plains to the northwest, Frost Mills to the northwest of Pleasant Plains and Schultzville, another small hamlet between Clinton Hollow and Bulls Head.

Salt Point is home to the The Helen Aldrich Park which is part of the Pleasant Valley town recreation system of parks, the Frances J. Mark Memorial Park and Friends' Park in Clinton
